I am a 26 year old dedicated event rider based at my family yard in Lambourn, West Berkshire. I have been around horses since I could walk. My mother rode and evented when I was younger until she was demoted to being chauffeur and groom. I spent my younger years in Yorkshire doing all the pony club activities and showing working hunter ponies, which I qualified for the Ponies UK championships.

Then when I was 11 we moved to New Jersey in America which was a unique experience and a new perspective on life. It was a huge change but I learnt a lot from it. While we were in the US I show jumped more than I evented as it was easier to get to venues for show jumping.

In the US i went to the National Pony Club Championship several times and was well placed in New Jersey State Junior Leagues with a couple of horses in the last year we were there. I was also lucky enough to train with some legendery US names including:n Anne Kursinsky and George Morris. We moved back to England in 2000.       I finished my school by doing the International Baccalaureate at an International School near Windsor.  Following that I did a BSc in Equine Science at Moreton Morell. Since finishing that in 2006 I have been working with horses full time.

2 Star Aston Le WallsDoing the horses full time has been very rewarding but has times of great frustration and involves a lot of hard work. Having set up the yard in Lambourn in 2006, we have a number of horses’ eventing at all different levels, including some rides for outside owners. My mother runs a breeding programme for eventers and I help with the handling and production of young stock. We also have a few liveries, take in horses for schooling and help with the jump schooling of National hunt horses.
I have had a good share of success in my riding career. I was a regular member of all Pony Club teams from the age of 16 to 21 and was the first person to represent our Pony Club at Championships for many years and was the key player in a successful run for our teams in Eventing and Show Jumping. I also succeeded in passing my Pony club A test in 2005. I was part of the South East winning squad at JRN level and was subsequently long listed for the European Young Rider squad. I was short listed on a couple of occasions for the World Class Start Programme and last year part of the EUROPEAN Two Star team.
I have also been lucky enough to compete abroad in Switzerland and Portugal and have had successful results on both occasions. I have also had a lot of success producing young horses over the years. Several horses I have produced have been placed at the British Eventing Jumping and Style Finals. I have been placed in the age class finals at Twesledown and produced several horses to be placed in Burghley Young Event Horse Qualifiers including having one horse finish in the top 12 at the final at Burghley Horse Trials.
